Studio Videos and DVD's: [back to top]   These sessions were filmed in a studio setting.  Each has Dr. John Banmen working with a client and then is followed by a discussion about the session by Dr. Banmen and a team of six experienced therapists. Don:  This session focuses on resolving the impact of a childhood trauma affecting his present adult life. Wendy:  This session focuses on resolving the impact of hurts and disappointments in past relationships to make room for a new intimate relationship in the present. Workshop Demonstration Videos and DVD's: These sessions were taped during the Summer Advanced Intensive Family Therapy training programs.  Each shows either Dr. John Banmen or Kathlyne Maki-Banmen working therapeutically with a program participant in front of the training group.  Carl:  This session, with Dr. John Banmen, focuses on resolving long-term (25 years) clinical depression.  The video includes a one year follow up interview with Carl and his wife discussing the changes that have taken place in their lives. Steven:  This session, with Dr. John Banmen,  focuses on resolving an issue involving inability to make a commitment in an intimate relationship.  Grief issues are dealt with in the session. Nitza:  This session, with Dr. John Banmen,  focuses on resolving the impact of childhood abandonment and how it affects relationships in adulthood. Sharon:  This session, with Dr. John Banmen,  focuses on resolving family of origin issues with adult siblings following the death of their mother. Sandy:  This session, with Dr. John Banmen,  focuses on resolving relationship issues from a former marriage and the impact on the client and her young adult children. Esther:  This session, with Kathlyne Maki-Banmen, is an internal Parts Party to resolve issues dealing with assertiveness and self-care. Colleen:  This session, with Kathlyne Maki-Banmen is an internal Parts Party to resolve issues dealing with childhood trauma and self-care. Klaus:  In this transformational therapy session Kathlyne Maki-Banmen uses the Satir Model resolving and transforming the impact of childhood loss freeing him to allow joy into his life.
